Key Metric Improvements
Following the comprehensive redesign of the WeStudy LMS, core engagement, retention, and operational KPIs showed significant measurable growth across the board.

Internal Analytics and Data Engine
I redesigned the LMS behavioral telemetry platform to give data analysts an intuitive, centralized workspace for tracking learner habits, session dynamics, and gamification performance.

Course Completion Funnel
Profile Center Redesign
I redesigned the personal profile hub to establish a unified visual hierarchy, resolved margin and alignment inconsistencies, and incorporated explicit interaction affordances.

Schedule and Check-in Redesign
I transformed a cluttered, high-cognitive-load check-in view into an intuitive learning schedule by reducing visual noise, and introduced a course progress tracker, increasing course completion rate by 49.5%.

Course Survival Funnel Analysis
The post-redesign interface mitigated early cognitive overload (Module 1 survival: 84.5% vs. 68.2%) and sustained mid-course learner engagement through structured schedule tracking.

Gamification
Leaderboard Refinements
I introduced a dedicated "My Performance" pinned card directly above the leaderboard, and a vibrant gamified 3D illustration hero, motivating more users to engage in the leaderboard activities.

Invite Conversion Rate
I unified the reward balance and referral ledger into a modern elevated card, and introduced a vibrant celebratory theme, boosting referral virality and social proof.

Gamification Engagement Lift
The redesigned interface increased token spend velocity from 38% to 62% while driving double-to-triple-digit participation surges across leaderboards, reward redemptions, and daily streaks.

Retention Rate
Daily Check-in Interface Redesign
I rebuilt the daily check-in activity feed into rich multimedia cards, supporting real image carousels, audio playback, and social feedback features like comments and likes, boosting the DAU stickiness.

User Retention Rate Boosted
Post-redesign telemetry revealed substantial retention resilience, greatly boosted user retention rate (from 2.1% to 7.8%) across 21-day streak milestones and lifting check-in consistency across every day of the week.

Reflection
Balancing Gamification with Intrinsic Learning Motivation
By restructuring the gamification loop—anchoring streak rewards to verified task completion and continuous study dwell time rather than passive logins—the interface shifted from superficial interaction to genuine habit formation. I learned that gamification in educational tools must reward sustained cognitive engagement rather than low-friction transactional actions.
Lowering Cognitive Friction to Accelerate Routine Adoption
Streamlining the daily interface into a chronological timeline, persistent milestone feedback cards, and predictable disclosure patterns directly stabilized daily active check-ins. I realized that operational success in habit-forming software depends on removing interface ambiguity so learners spend zero cognitive energy figuring out what to do next.
Bridging Quantitative Telemetry with Practical Operational Value
Moving away from scattered spreadsheet logs to unified, live metric auditing enabled managers to diagnose cohort friction points and drop-off curves in real time. This reinforced that backend and data interfaces deserve the same rigorous human-centered design as consumer-facing screens to empower data-informed business decisions.
